KANY Corporation offers the full suite of premium cocoa related products sustainably sourced and certified from Ghana. Our products range from fermented and dried cocoa beans and cocoa liquor to cocoa butter and cocoa powder.
Upon request, KANY can offer Kosher and Pareve Certified cocoa and as well as organic products.
Sustainability and ensuring ethical practices throughout the supply chain is of utmost importance to the KANY team. Thus, we have partnered with Kuapa Kokoo, a wholly-smallholder farmer owned cooperative in Ghana. Through this conduit, KANY and its clientele can be assured that each product is certified and sustainably-sourced.

Ghana and the Global Cocoa Industry
Ghana's Cocoa Bean Production
Cocoa is the chief agricultural export of Ghana and the country's main cash crop. Ghana has a long tradition of cocoa cultivation and is the second largest cocoa exporter in the world, with an average annual output of about 880,000 metric tonnes (MT) since 1960. The cocoa sector employs approximately 800,000 farm families spread over six of the ten regions of Ghana.
Due to the diligent post-harvest treatment practices employed by smallholder farmers, Ghana enjoys a prominent reputation across the industry for the uniform size of its beans, optimal fermentation methodologies, and high nib-to-bean ratio. The crop generates about USD two (2) billion in foreign exchange annually and is a major contributor to government's revenue and country's GDP. Cocoa has transformed the nature of agricultural activities in Ghana and has occupied centre stage in the country's socio-economic development.
The optimal cultivation of cocoa beans requires a climate primarily found within the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, or approximately within the range of 20 degrees north and south of the Equator. Temperatures ranging between 18°C - 32°C, annual rainfall of 1500 - 2000mm and a dry season of not more than three months are additional requisites for the cocoa tree to produce healthy fruit pods. Origin plays a critical role in determining the ultimate flavor profile of the finished cocoa products.
On average, approximately four (4) million metric tonnes (MT) of cocoa beans are produced globally per annum, with production peaking in 2011 at 4.6 million MT . Since 1960, global cocoa production has increased approximately four times in line with increased global demand for cocoa based and confectionery products.
